1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the makaziflo platform ("Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service. makaziflo reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Definitions

  • "User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the makaziflo platform.
  • "Student" refers to a user seeking accommodation through the platform.
  • "Property Owner" or "Landlord" refers to a user who lists properties for rent on the platform.
  • "Booking" refers to the reservation of a property made through the platform.
  • "Content" refers to all text, images, videos, and other materials on the platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using makaziflo, you represent and warrant that you are legally capable of entering into binding agreements. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

4. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Promptly update your account information if it changes.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notify makaziflo immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Property Listings

Property owners who list on makaziflo agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information about their properties.
  • Upload genuine photos that represent the actual property.
  • Maintain the property in good condition as described in the listing.
  • Respond to booking requests and inquiries promptly.
  • Honor all confirmed bookings unless mutually agreed otherwise.
  • Comply with all applicable local housing laws and regulations.

6. Bookings and Payments

By making a booking through makaziflo:

  • You agree to pay the total amount displayed at the time of booking.
  • Payment must be completed within 24 hours of booking to secure your reservation.
  • Prices listed are set by property owners and may vary.
  • makaziflo charges a service fee which is included in the displayed price.
  • All payments are processed through our secure payment gateway.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations made 7+ days before check-in: Full refund minus service fee.
  • Cancellations made 3-6 days before check-in: 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 3 days before check-in: No refund.
  • No-shows: No refund.
  • Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.

8. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the platform.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform's functionality.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the makaziflo platform, including but not limited to logos, text, images, and software, is the property of makaziflo or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

makaziflo acts as an intermediary between students and property owners. We are not a party to any rental agreement. makaziflo shall not be liable for:

  • Any disputes between users (students and property owners).
  • The condition, safety, or legality of listed properties.
  • The accuracy of listings or user-provided information.
  • Any damages, losses, or injuries arising from property use.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold makaziflo, its directors, employees, and partners harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform or violation of these terms.

12. Termination

makaziflo reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.

14. Changes to Terms

makaziflo reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
